In the shadow of the church of San Domenico, in the heart of Borgo Bello, some of the most prestigious craft activities and artistic treasures of the city are concentrated.

Our visit will lead you to rediscover one of the most well-known neighborhoods of Perugia in a new light, the one reflected by the lake Trasimeno in the works of Gerardo Dottori, an illustrious painter who in the 1900s sublimated the poetry of the lake landscape in his aerial paintings, now preserved in the civic museum of Palazzo della Penna.

From the futurist painter Gerardo Dottori, the visit will continue to the masterpieces of Borgo Bello, along the itinerary of glass art which finds its greatest testimonies in the grandiose stained glass window of San Domenico church and in the Moretti Caselli glass painting atelier.

Finally, in the heart of Borgo Bello we will rediscover the nineteenth-century furnaces of the Biscarini Angeletti firm, artisan-artists of artistic terracotta production who between the 1800s and 1900s adorned the major public and private buildings and the long series of “leonine” churches built between Perugia and the district of Trasimeno.
